Dr. Kreisel ranks among the leading international experts in the field of implant acupuncture. He offers this treatment at his Clinic in Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg. In particular, when treating chronic clinical pictures such as pain syndromes, migraine, Restless-Legs Syndrome (RLS), Parkinson’s disease, tinnitus and certain eye diseases, this method has proven its effectiveness.
With the development of frequency-modulated brain stimulation FBS® according to Dr. Kreisel, he is the first in this area. This method combines implant acupuncture with laser medicine and optimizes the therapeutic outcome. This challenging therapeutic method requires plenty of experience and extreme care. It should only be carried out by highly qualified and certified acupuncture therapists. As scientific adviser and lecturer for the International Network for Implant Acupuncture for controlled implant acupuncture INAURIS, Dr. Kreisel imposes standards for highest quality regarding education and application of the method.
During implant acupuncture tiny titanium needles or needles of soluble RESOMER® are directly placed under the skin of the auricle to stay permanently in the ear. In contrast to traditional needle acupuncture, these implants are said to permanently stimulate the treated reflex points and release increased messengers in the central nervous system.
An ear has about known 400 acupuncture points which are assigned to certain organs and structures of the body. Before implantation, all regions of the ear have to be examined systematically for active points. As these points are very small (0.2 – 0.3 mm), so the search for acupuncture points and the implantation process itself have to be done as exactly as possible. Implant acupuncture can supplement standard therapies of conventional medicine. Implantation acupuncture must not be confused with acupuncture using permanent needles.
Implant acupuncture is solely used for the treatment of chronic diseases.
Here are some examples:
- Chronic pain syndromes such as of the vertebral column or headaches
- Restless Legs Syndrome RLS
- Parkinson’s disease
- Macular degeneration AMD
